Advanced Psychometrics, Incorporated (API) is a Texas Based corporation with offices in San Antonio, Texas. API’s primary business is designing, manufacturing, and marketing pre and post employment assessments to industry.

Neal W. Johnston is President of API. Neal started his career in this business in 1974 when he accepted a position as an Outplacement Counselor with a major Management Consulting firm. Part of his responsibility was to administer a number of psychological instruments. This activity lead to in-depth research into psychological testing as it related to the workplace. In 1978 Neal started his own firm to help companies “put the right person in the right job” using paper/pencil testing. After considerable research and “trial and error” he published his first pre-employment instrument, Personality Plus, in 1979.

Neal’s background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science degree in Psychology. He has been Licensed as a Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. Through a nationwide distributor network, companies in all 50 States and several foreign countries use Advanced Psychometrics’ pre and post employment instruments to help them make the right hiring decision.
